About Me

Hi

It's so lovely to have you here with me and I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy writing it. 

It has come from my life experiences, both personally and business wise.   I've had an incredibly exciting life with lots of travel, love and loss, illness and happiness.   Like you, we all experience different emotions, good and bad times, but I have learnt it's what you do with every experience that comes your way, that makes us who we are.  

I have a wonderful 19 year old son who is at Newcastle studying Marine Engineering.   I pretty much brought him up on my own and he is my pride and joy and my best friend.   When he went to Uni we both agreed it was my time and here I am. 

Travel is my passion, photography is what I'm learning currently and I'm writing my first book.   For work I run a holiday booking agency for lodges with hot tubs in Northumberland.   I do it remotely and you will often find me in a strange place, beach or field, with my router and laptop, typing away chatting to guests and owners.   

You'll meet my two travel companions, Gracie and Sasha.   They are Mum and daughter Cocker Spaniels and love exploring as much as I do, actually more so.   One is naughty and escapes the other is a foodie and always comes back for treats.
